My Testimony
Part 1
My dad’s family is Puerto Rican. They are from Sunset Park, Brooklyn, NY. He and his siblings grew up very Christian. My grandma was Pentecostal and I’ve heard that the church that she went to when they were growing up and with them was very strict. They weren’t allowed to wear make-up to church because it was a sin. My grandma didn’t wear make-up to church because of that. My grandpa didn’t dance because it was a sin. He was the pastor. I’ve heard my dad was mad at some of the things he learned while in church and Sunday School as a kid. He learned that Cain’s line in the Bible meant Black people’s punishment. Later in his life he didn’t believe it. He thought that it was racist. He is a pastor.
As a kid until the age of five I lived in New Brunswick, NJ and went to church there. I had God as a kid. I’ve heard that in the churches that my dad’s family has gone to many times people would start speaking in tongues. They would get the Holy Spirit. One time at the end of church I started speaking in tongues about something my dad was doing to me. He was telling me we couldn’t go to the restaurant I wanted to go to. I was crying and God started speaking through me in tongues and I felt what he was saying.
He said, “They can’t do this,” and said that they were going against him about my dad and my uncle who was agreeing with my dad.
Another thing that happened was that my cousins came to my house and me and my sister were in my room with them. God was in the room that time. He said he chose me as part white out of them and others. He put a vibe in the room and we felt it said that. My mom is Peruvian and Croatian and from Harrington Park, NJ. God also told us that I was going to heaven and that all of the people in the room were.
That’s the end of part one. The rest will come later.
